Heritage Pointe, of Huntington, is looking for a full-time RN/LPN to work 6a-6p and every other weekends and holidays.

Summary:
Must know all aspects of basic personal care, medication administration, treatment procedures, preventive, restorative, and therapeutic techniques.
Must know medical asepsis and sterile technique.
Must have an interest in and be able to communicate effectively with aged and ill residents with a variety of chronic illnesses or emotional disorders.
Also, must be able to communicate effectively with visitors, supervisors, and co-workers, and work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of residents' conditions and personal affairs.

Hold a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree or diploma from an accredited college/universityHave a valid Nursing state license and CPR certificationKnow laws, regulations, and guidelines that relate to long-term careResponsibilities/DutiesAssign all nursing assistants to residents, indicating break times and all special duties to be completed.
Supervise work performance by checking CNA work closely to be sure all assignments have been completed.
Create a warm, friendly environment where your residents are comfortable from admission through dischargeYou'll advocate for your residents at every stage of care, making sure that we go above and beyond for them every single dayDevelop personalized care plans for each resident based on observation and expertiseWhen emergencies happen, you'll act quickly and calmly to initiate life-saving measuresThis could happen with or without a physician present, and you have the confidence to act with your residents' well-being in mindHandle medication for your residents and keep meticulous records of every aspect of the care you administer
